After two years and 10,000 miles of camping, we decided to part with our Winnebage FLX travel trailer and move to back to a more agile Class B camper van. We wanted a class B van that was shorter than our ERA but had the bookdocking features we had in our travel trailer.

The Rangeline is the first Airstream class B to be built on a gasoline-powered RAM ProMaster chasis. As with all Airstream products, it is well engineered, built, and thoughtfully designed. Standard equipment includes 270 amp hour lithium battery, 200 watts of solar panels, a 2,000 watt inverter and a 2.5 kW generator to keep the camper powered indefinitely with or without shore power.

Also integrated into the camper are high-efficiency Truma products: a 13,500 BTU Aventa air conditioner, a 18,000 BTU VarioHeat forced air furnace, and an Aqua-Go on demand water heater. The shower has an Aqua View Showermiser which recirculates the water back into the fresh water tank until the water is hot, not wasting a drop.

The galley is furnished with a microwave, one-burner portable induction cooktop and a small 12 volt refrigerator. The front seats swivel to combine with the second row seating to form a dinette. To the rear of the galley the cabinetry converts to a full bed perpendicular to the length of the van. We leave it made up all of the time which provides a 25 sq. ft. garage for storing all our camping gear. The head is a wet bath but the layout allows ample room for us to shower.

We are excited about the possibilites for camping with our new van. Keep checking back to follow the progress.
